1.1 Finisar - 2021-2023 - Staff Engineer

  • Managed LCOS SLM line, worth $1.5M p.a. including product development, customer management/collaboration, quality control
  • Wrote, Tested and Deployed automated unit testing software for SLM line, saving 400 hours of operator labour p.a.
  • Successfully launched and transferred to production Finisar's 4th generation SLM
  • Developed a power cycling test solution to test thousands of units to verify stability of High-Resolution OCM line for large international telecommunications customer
  • Consulted to U.S. firm to deploy an experiment on site with no overruns or budget blowouts
  • Designed new instrument front panels for entire instrumentation department for Finisar to Coherent re-branding effort
  • Delivered lecture to UQ on transition from study to employment, represented Finisar at UNSW Electrical and Communication Engineering Society Employment Fair
  • Consulted to Finisar to assist with SLM line handover after they hired replacement

1.2 University of Sydney - 2019-2025 - Tutor

  • Tutored first year physics class of 2020, adapted under pressure to COVID guidelines, transitioning from in person to online and hybrid tutorials
  • Demonstrated for Kickstart physics 2019-2020 and 2023-Current, hosting high school students and running them through experiments
